Beauty: Blue Mercury

bluemercurylogoFor years I have strolled right past this store in my local mall. I never really paid much attention to it as I always figured it was another sephoraesque store. Lord knows I dont need one more store to be obsessed with! Well let me tell you how absolutely wrong I was. This is like sephora/nordstrom beauty but better. I have always been a no makeup look but better kind of gal. This store was basically made for me. It has all the brands we love, Nars, Trish Mcevoy, Laura Mercier, Sara Happ, and includes a spa where they do facials and massages. Why didn’t I become obsessed with this place earlier? Blue Mercury focuses on skincare, hair care, and bath and body. It’s truly worth checking out if they are in your area. If they are not local to you, you should definitely check out their website here. It’s the perfect boutique experience with all the brands we know and love. What could be better?
Have you ever shopped Blue Mercury?

Travel: New York City

Dreams come true in New York. If you have stepped foot in this city…you know exactly what I am talking about. I have never been a “city” girl as I have lived in suburbia all my life…but something about this city makes you come alive. I had traveled there a few times growing up and have gone back a few times with my husband and I must say there is always something to do or some place to be. The museums are amazing and could have you in awe for days, the shopping is endless, restaurants from all areas of the world, and a pulse that is always pumping. I love New York and it will always be a place I go when I need to explore and see new things.
Have you been to New York? If so, what is your favorite thing about the city?

Travel: Palm Desert

If someone asked me where would I choose if I could only visit one place for the rest of my life…I would answer without hesitation Palm Desert. Although this place holds a very special place in my heart (married here, memories growing up), I absolutely love all it has to offer. Decades ago my grandparents moved out to Palm DesertĀ from New York and although my grandparents have passed on, there is something still so magical about this place. From museums to shopping to restaurants to desert scenery and the obvious golf courses, there is something for all ages and all interests. I truly can’t imagine this place not being in my life.

Travel: Viva Las Vegas

It doesn’t take more than a few minutes after departing the airplane to hear the sounds of slot machines ringing out. Although I am not a gambler (penny machines are about my speed), don’t drink, and am not a club goer, there is something about Las Vegas they keeps me coming back. In fact there is something in Vegas for everyone and all ages. I have had the pleasure of staying at the Palazzo, the Venetian, the Paris, the Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Planet Hollywood, Cesar’s Palace, and more. These hotels are unlike any hotels you will stay elsewhere. Nothing is too over the top for Vegas. From the extravagant restaurants to the out of this world shopping malls, there is no way you will be without anything to do. Trust me!
