Beauty: Boscia Self-Defense Vital Antioxidant Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30

image2You will see for the next couple of weeks I have been testing out skin care products. I picked up this Boscia moisturizer in hopes this would be a great addition to my morning routine. Needless to say…it has been returned. The smell of sunscreen in this lotion was so potent I couldn’t even get past it. Sadly I knew this wasn’t going to work for me. If the smell gives me a headache…back to the store it goes. I am a huge fan of Boscia’s Makeup Breakup oil…just not this moisturizer. If you are not sensitive to smells…I say give this a shot…otherwise…stay tuned for an amazing moisturizer you definitely don’t want to miss.

Beauty: Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Hand Lotion

This hand lotion has been raved about for years on beauty blogs. I am pretty sensitive when it comes to scented lotions and was a bit nervous about giving it a try. I came across these at my local drugstore on sale and decided to give it a sniff. I was pleasantly surprised how light the scent was and how quick drying the lotion was. My biggest complaint when it comes to lotions is how long they take to soak into the skin. This lotion is quick drying and doesn’t leave a film over your skin. Huge Plus! I absolutely love it! If you have not tried Pacifica lotions…you definitely should. They are just as amazing as everyone says they are!

Beauty: Elizabeth and James Nirvana for Her

For Christmas I was gifted a very generous gift card to Sephora from my sister-in-law (thank you Leti!). I immediately knew it was time for a new fragrance for 2015. Can you tell I am on a kick with starting fresh here?! I popped into Sephora and headed straight for the fragrance section. Normally I am extremely picky and only stick to what works…sort of my motto…but this time I thought to branch out and picked up the Elizabeth and James Nirvana for Her in Black. The scent is described as a Violet, Sandalwood, and Vanilla blend. I would say that description is right on and best part is it doesn’t have an overpowering smell. I definitely think its worth a sniff the next time you are at Sephora or a department store and can be purchased here.

Beauty: Jo Malone Perfume

I have had the worst allergies since I was a wee little one so as you can imagine finding a perfume that doesn’t make matters worse is not an easy thing. Over the years I’ve sort of stuck with what works when it comes to scents. I have a total of 4 perfumes I rotate throughout the year from brands such as Balenciaga, Prada and Jo Malone. However the most unique, fresh, and light scent would have to be my Jo Malone White Jasmine and Mint perfume. There is nothing quite like it. Ive been working on this bottle for almost two years and honestly would not second guess repurchasing it when I am out. Scents are such a personal thing and I love matching a scent to the time of year or special occasion.
