Everyday Life: Apple Watch Review

og_image s42sg-sbbk-sel_GEO_USI want to start off by saying I am a huge Apple fan. I normally love their products and believe everyone should love them too. However I am not a fan of the apple watch and actually ended up returning mine. Now before you think I’m jumping to conclusions, I want you to know that I used it religiously for almost 2 weeks. Also I purchased the sport version. Okay now onto my thoughts. At first…I was amazed at how light on the wrist, non invasive, and how easy it was to use. I thought it was a perfect fit to my everyday lifestyle and actually made my pay less attention to my phone throughout the day. However after days of use it started to become a bit invasive. Even though you can set your alerts to what you want to be notified on…I felt it was a constant interruption to my daily activities. It slowly became invasive. Another huge complaint I had was how hot the product became on my wrist. I am not sure if I had a defective product but by about mid day (everyday) the metal on the watch was almost burning my skin. By the beginning of the second week…I knew this product had to go back. As much as I love being in touch at all times…it allowed no break whatsoever as no matter what your doing…the watch will alert you. Once I realized this…it immediately went back to the store. Overall I am glad I gave it a chance, but would not recommend this to anyone for the reasons above.
Do you own the apple watch? If so…what are your thoughts?

Fashion: Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium Review

Normally I stick to Chanel or Louis Vuitton when it comes to handbags…however the PS1 medium has been in the back of my mind for quite some time. Proenza Schouler was recently running their end of summer sale and I knew the deal was too good to be true. This bag is amazing. It has more compartments and zippers than any organizational lover could ever dream of. I love how easy it is to carry and how attractive the bag is. The leather is also butter soft…which for some people could be a downside since it will get a worn look over time. Overall if you are thinking of purchasing this bag…I highly recommend you do. Would I pay full price for this bag…probably not…but for the sale price…I would do it all over again.

Beauty: Nars Yachiyo Brush #27 Review

image

High end beauty products can be extremely expensive and an investment. To me one of the biggest investments you should make is good quality brushes. I have had my eye on this Nars brush for some time but heard many mixed reviews. It was definitely a situation of you love it or hate it. I decided to give it a shot knowing if it was a total fail I could return it as this brush was on the pricy side. After a few days of using it I knew it had to go back. Sadly I felt the brush was not durable, did not pick up enough product, and shed terribly. To me those are extremely important in a brush in this price range. If you have been eyeing this brush or on the fence about purchasing it I strong suggest looking for a different brush.

Beauty: Dior Creme De Rose Lip Balm

image-3This summer my lips have been extremely dry. I must say that having dry and chapped lips is the worst and totally uncomfortable. About two years ago I read an article recommending the Dior Creme De Rose lip balm. I have always been dedicated to my La Mer lip balm but seeing as Dior was half the price…I decided I had nothing to lose. I absolutely love this product. I wouldn’t say its the best balm on the market but it’s certainly luxurious and a real treat for your lips. It has quite a potent fragrance of rose, so if you are sensitive to smells…this is a definite no. However the consistency is not sticky, smooth, thick, and creamy…and moisturizes your lips for hours. You can purchase this balm at Sephora or Nordstrom.

Everyday Life: Beats Headphones by Dr Dre Review

image-5
I am and have always been a huge lover of music. To me being a lover of music goes hand in hand with owning a good pair of headphones. When Dr Dre released his Beats line I knew I had to check it out. The reviews were outstanding and I thought these would be a great investment. My husband and I each own our own pair of these headphones and I must say we pretty much agree they are great for about an hour or so and then your ears start to ache. I do love the sound these headphones project…but I would not repurchase another pair. We have traveled many times with these and always have problems with how uncomfortable they become after about an hour. Truly unfortunate because the sound is really nice. If you are in the market for a good set of headphones…really do your research before purchasing these.

Beauty: HakuHodo Brush Review

There is really something to be said about a good make up brush. People always say it can transform your look…trust me it can. I have loved my MAC brushes for many years but have always admired Hakuhodo brushes from a distance, due to their hefty price tag. About a year ago I decided to take the plunge on three brushes I knew I would use on a daily basis. I purchased them through their online website, that can be found here. The customer service was great and the brushes shipped and arrived to my home in no time, which is very important to me. I ended up purchasing the S142, S133, and S110 in the Vermilion style (24k clear coating brass/gold). I must say these brushes are hands down the softest and most durable brushes I own. I use at least one brush everyday and am so glad I took the plunge. The next time I am on the market for a new brush (which shouldn’t be for quite some time) I will definitely be back for more Hakuhodo.

Beauty: Shiseido Gentle Cleansing Cream Review

Shiseido Gentle Cleansing Cream
I have been wanting to try a more reasonably priced cleanser to help remove makeup at the end of the day. I was looking online for some reviews and this Gentle Cleanser from Shiseido came back with flying colors. This gentle cleansing cream is exactly what it says it is…its light on the skin, melts away your makeup, very lightly scented, and non-clogging to pores. It has been dermatologist tested and best of all comes in at only $30! I have been using this for over a week and must say it is great. I love the feel of the cream on my skin and it doesn’t leave a film and doesn’t leave my skin feeling uncomfortably tight. I have been really enjoying this as a nice treat after a long day. If you are interested in trying this cleanser it can be purchased here!
