Everyday Life: Hobonichi Techno

th-2 thIf you know me…you know I love a good planner or journal. For the past few months I have been reading up on the Hobonichi. This planner is geared more towards the artist in you rather than the hardcore planner. Hobonichi is a Japanese brand and can be purchased here. I was excited to hear they now offer an English version (in years past it has only been offered in Japanese)! I was a bit hesitant at first as I am more of a planner than a drawer but this fits perfectly into my lifestyle. Not only does it offer a month on two pages it offers one full page for everyday. The great thing about this is you can be as brief or as detailed as you want. Some even use the full page strictly for journaling or even drawing highlights of their day. If you are looking for a planner and Filofax or Erin Condren is a bit too strict…this is the perfect option for you. I highly recommend it!
Have you tried the Hobonichi planners?

Everyday Life: Mulberry Postman’s Lock Pocket Book

Now before you start laughing…yes this is another planner. I have been keeping my eye on this pocket book agenda for at least 6 months…and the wait paid off because it went on sale and bam…I was in the store ready to purchase. The leather is butter soft and has the most beautiful sheen to it. It was definitely love at first sight and couldn’t wait to get it home and set up. Normally I love the Filofax personal size but knew that I wanted something a bit smaller to both carry in my work bag and my handbag. Now the first must have for my new pocket book was dividers and a dashboard with a pocket. I looked high and low and was so lucky to come across Personaliser on etsy. She is such a doll and made everything custom and to my liking. You should definitely check out her store. The dividers and dashboard arrived quickly and fit perfectly! I will definitely be back for more. This planner is definitely an investment but knowing I love and use my planner everyday…this was an investment I was willing to make!
I also have another Filofax purchase coming to share with you all so stay tuned!

I am a planner addict. I love having a calendar and love decorating it to fit my style. After having a not so great experience with a recent purchase from another planner retailer, I decided Filofax would be my best bet. I was lucky enough to pick up the Personal Size Finsbury in Black at a local boutique office supply store in San Francisco. I have been having fun collecting Scotch Washi Tape from Target or Office Depot. Its a great and colorful way to decorate your weekly pages. I ordered inserts from KiddyQualia on Etsy (pictured above) for 2014 and 2015 along with some lined notepaper. I ordered the cutest little pocket folder from youracrafty1 on Etsy (pictured above). I ordered some custom tabs from FiloPhia on Etsy (pictured above). Last but certainly not least I purchased some dashboards, bookmarks, and planner charm from plannerfancy on Etsy. All these vendors are so reasonably priced and offer beautiful items to customize your planner. Please click the links above on their names to check out their Etsy stores. I will be shocked if you can’t find a new item for your planning needs.

Life Planner – Erin Condren
Pens – Le Pen

There is no better feeling than being organized. As far back as I can remember I have always been a planner and always liked having the ability to see my calendar at a glance. After doing some research for a new and fun calendar, I came across the Erin Condren life planner system. It was love at first sight. How can you not have fun with a calendar like this? With stickers, personalization, inspirational quotes, and tabs for each month, it’s hard not to want to use it. In addition to the planner I purchased the matching notepad that you can attach to the back of your planner and personalized stickers (yes I am a stationary/office product addict). I have been using my life planner since December and truly adore it. I will definitely be back for another in 2015…
