For years I have been a huge fan of Dior cosmetics. Designers going into the cosmetic world is always risky especially with the price point that they are. Dior is one of those brands that has yet to let me down. I have tried just about every type of product from Dior such as BB cream to blush to highlighters and even mascara…however for some odd reason I never thought about picking up a lip gloss until recently. What I was waiting for I have no idea because these lip glosses are fantastic. The formula is amazing…comfortable and not sticky on the lips, not scented (huge plus) and very long lasting. For someone who is not a huge fan of having anything but lip balm on their lips…this is a huge hit! I also adore the color…#363 Dormeuse. And the packaging is gorgeous! Let’s be honest…what girl doesn’t love a beautifully package beauty product!!!
Have you tried the Dior Addict Lip Glosses?
Spring has sprung! Yay! I love everything about Spring…except allergies. Each season I normally do a switch a roo with my makeup products depending on the season. In honor of Spring…here is a peek inside my makeup bag.

Normally I am a CC cream or BB cream kinda gal but for special occasions I go for a foundation. Over the years I have tried many different brands and wanted to share my top 3 favorite high end foundations. First up Chanel! How can you go wrong with any product by Chanel. The Aqua vitalumiere is smooth and lightweight that provides buildable coverage. This is a great option for someone who doesn’t love a heavier foundation feel. Second…YSL. I love the coverage and look this foundation gives. It’s smooth, radiant and matte. It has medium coverage that lasts all day. This may be my all time favorite. Last but not least Dior. Now I know it says BB cream but I truly believe this provides enough coverage to count as a foundation. I love the dewy finish it leaves on your skin and leaves you glowing through out the day. The only downside to this BB cream is that it only comes in one shade…which unfortunately is too dark for me right now. I guess you can’t win them all!
What is your favorite foundation?
This summer my lips have been extremely dry. I must say that having dry and chapped lips is the worst and totally uncomfortable. About two years ago I read an article recommending the Dior Creme De Rose lip balm. I have always been dedicated to my La Mer lip balm but seeing as Dior was half the price…I decided I had nothing to lose. I absolutely love this product. I wouldn’t say its the best balm on the market but it’s certainly luxurious and a real treat for your lips. It has quite a potent fragrance of rose, so if you are sensitive to smells…this is a definite no. However the consistency is not sticky, smooth, thick, and creamy…and moisturizes your lips for hours. You can purchase this balm at Sephora or Nordstrom.
Have you ever tried Dior Creme de Rose?
Ever since BB Cream became the “it” thing on the beauty market I have been hooked. I think it’s a great option for everyday wear, especially for those who don’t need a full foundation. I am a firm believer in wearing little to no make up and having a natural look. I really only like being “done up” for special occasions. I purchased this BB cream a little over 6 months ago. I do love the coverage and texture…however it does feel a bit heavy at times. My mother also purchased this and had a terrible skin reaction. She immediately stopped using it. Even though I did not have the same reaction, I do not believe I will repurchase this. Even though I love the coverage…it does seem a bit heavy for being a BB cream. I will soon be on the lookout for another BB cream option.
Do you have any suggestions for BB creams to try?
I am honestly a no fuss make up kinda gal. I like my face to look as fresh and dewy yet simple as possible. However for special occasions or a night out, I like to go that extra mile. Pictured above is a look at my go to favorites for a summertime/nighttime make up look. Starting from left to right…Z Palatte in Zebra with a few of my most used Mac Shadows and Mac Blush…Nars Lipgloss in Turkish Delight…Cle de Peau Concealer in Ivory…YSL Teint Resist Long Wear Endless Foundation in No. 2…Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler…Dior Poudre Shimmer in Diamante Rose No. 001…La Mer Moisturizing Lotion…Mac Paint Pot in Painterly…Tom Ford Lipstick in Nude Vanille No. 12…Dior Dior Show Mascara in Black…Anastasia Brow Wiz…Milani Eye Tech Extreme in Blackest Black No. 01…Mac Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare…Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in 495 Mica Rose (beautiful wedding color)…and finally my Anastasia Brow Powder Duo. I love these products and they make for a beautiful look.
What are your favorite summertime/nighttime make up products?
I swear that I have tried almost every concealer on the market. Even though I don’t wear much makeup…concealer is a must. I have the darkest under eye circles (hereditary) and have been dealing with them since I was a very young girl (people always comment on them even to this day). I remember buying the most full coverage concealer I could find and still my dark circles peeked through. Over the years I have tried combinations of concealers, stage makeup strength, and even tattoo cover up paint to conceal these suckers and still have not found my holy grail product. However I have found a combination that I think is here to stay, at least for the time being. My normal face routine is to apply my Dior bb cream, then under my eyes I apply my Kevin Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer and my Cle de Peau Beaute concealer. This “on a good day” conceals them pretty well.
Do you have any problem areas you try to conceal? If so, what is your favorite concealer?
In the spirit of showing you what was in my work bag and everyday bag I thought why not share what’s in my makeup bag. I keep a small makeup bag on my counter of all the products I’m currently using and loving. Then whenever I get bored with a product I go and “shop my stash”. The makeup bag I’ve been using for years is by Prada and is from their nylon collection. This makeup bag is super high quality and can even be thrown in the wash for a quick cleanup. Without further ado…here is what’s in my makeup bag…
