I have finally found my holy grail lip liners! Yes I have been on the hunt to find that perfect mauve nude lip liner that can both be worn alone or with a lipstick on top. My top two favorites would have to be Charlotte Tillbury Pillowtalk and Laura Mercier Plumberry. Although they are both slightly different they leave a beautiful finish on the lip. They are very creamy and extremely long lasting. One great bonus is Laura Mercier includes a pencil sharpener with all of her lip liners. Definitely a nice touch.

I am all about makeup that gives you the no makeup or your skin but better look. For some time I have heard about Glossier and their amazing products. Their cult product by far is the balm dot calm which is their version of Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. I was never a fan of that item due to the thickness of the product…the balm dot calm however is much less thick and provides lasting moisture to your lips and cuticles. I also picked up their moisturizer and perfecting skin tint. I am in love with their moisturizer and would definitely purchase this again. The skin perfecting tint provides a beautiful wash of color without concealing or covering your skin underneath. If you are looking for something with coverage this is not the product for you. However on days that I want more of a coverage I mix this with my cc cream from Chanel. It’s a beautiful combination. Overall I am in love with their products and definitely see why there is a hype around them. If your interested in learning more about these products you can check them out here!

For years I have strolled right past this store in my local mall. I never really paid much attention to it as I always figured it was another sephoraesque store. Lord knows I dont need one more store to be obsessed with! Well let me tell you how absolutely wrong I was. This is like sephora/nordstrom beauty but better. I have always been a no makeup look but better kind of gal. This store was basically made for me. It has all the brands we love, Nars, Trish Mcevoy, Laura Mercier, Sara Happ, and includes a spa where they do facials and massages. Why didn’t I become obsessed with this place earlier? Blue Mercury focuses on skincare, hair care, and bath and body. It’s truly worth checking out if they are in your area. If they are not local to you, you should definitely check out their website here. It’s the perfect boutique experience with all the brands we know and love. What could be better?
Have you ever shopped Blue Mercury?
I love a good lip balm…to me its just a must have makeup item to have with you at all times. I have been a huge fan of La Mer’s balm for many many years but didn’t like the packaging as you always had to stick your finger in the balm to apply it. Not the most clean application when on the go. A few months back I was near a Chanel counter and stopped by to check out the Rouge Coco Baume. The Sales Associate was raving about it and said it was very comparable to the La Mer balm. I decided to pick it up and give it a shot. I absolutely adore this coco baume and use it everyday. I do think its wonderful and worth the price tag of $36…but I do not think its better than La Mer. However I will say that this is works amazingly well under and Chanel Lipstick and keeps your lips hydrated and moisturized for hours on end. If you are in the market for a great balm on the go…I highly suggest you give this one a chance!

Washing my hair everyday is too damaging for my hair…and I can get away with it by using my DryBar Detox Dry Shampoo on my non wash days! This product not only smells amazing but works incredibly well! This dry shampoo absorbs the oil, adds volume, and leaves your hair feeling clean all day. Don’t be alarmed by the faint white tint it leaves after you spray it on…this dissipates after you brush the product through your hair. This is definitely a must have in my hair care routine.

For years I have been a huge fan of Dior cosmetics. Designers going into the cosmetic world is always risky especially with the price point that they are. Dior is one of those brands that has yet to let me down. I have tried just about every type of product from Dior such as BB cream to blush to highlighters and even mascara…however for some odd reason I never thought about picking up a lip gloss until recently. What I was waiting for I have no idea because these lip glosses are fantastic. The formula is amazing…comfortable and not sticky on the lips, not scented (huge plus) and very long lasting. For someone who is not a huge fan of having anything but lip balm on their lips…this is a huge hit! I also adore the color…#363 Dormeuse. And the packaging is gorgeous! Let’s be honest…what girl doesn’t love a beautifully package beauty product!!!

I am absolutely in love with this product. I am a huge fan/lover of CC and BB creams. surprisingly even though my skin is fair it is still extremely hard to match my skin tone to a CC or BB cream. I stopped by my local Chanel counter and inquired if they had this CC Cream in stock. I lucked out as it just arrived that day. The nice sales associate asked if I wanted to be matched and quickly went to look for the lightest shade. Even though Chanel doesn’t have a wide range of colors, I was able to just get away with Chanel 20. Chanel 20 mixed with my CC Cream from Giorgio Armani and magically I have the perfect coverage and perfect shade. If you can find a true match with this Chanel CC cream I definitely think its worth the price. Coming in at $55 you want this product to be perfect and worth the money. I truly believe it is.

You will see for the next couple of weeks I have been testing out skin care products. I picked up this Boscia moisturizer in hopes this would be a great addition to my morning routine. Needless to say…it has been returned. The smell of sunscreen in this lotion was so potent I couldn’t even get past it. Sadly I knew this wasn’t going to work for me. If the smell gives me a headache…back to the store it goes. I am a huge fan of Boscia’s Makeup Breakup oil…just not this moisturizer. If you are not sensitive to smells…I say give this a shot…otherwise…stay tuned for an amazing moisturizer you definitely don’t want to miss.

Funny enough I am not a huge fan of creme blushes. I don’t know why honestly…since I love the look of dewy and plump skin. During one of my trips to Sephora I was gifted this Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee. I was not thrilled with it upon first glance/inspection and stored in away in my stash of samples. Over this past weekend I thought I would give it a try on top of my Chanel cc cream. Needless to say I am on my third day of wearing it and love it! I have been applying this gel product with my hands and that seems to work wonders. It blends nicely into the skin and lasts all day! The color looks a bit scary in the jar but not to worry it’s a beautiful flush tone pink. Josie Maran offers a pretty good selection of colors if pink is not your thing. I definitely wouldn’t be against picking up another color in the future.
