This past weekend I turned 28 and thought what better everyday life topic than to reflect on the last year. Its funny some people say that your golden year is when you turn the age of your birth date…mine being the 27th…and looking back…I couldn’t agree more. The last year has been one of the most rewarding and challenging years. We sold our first home, purchased our second, I made the best decision career wise, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in the place it all started…Palm Springs, I suffered for 12 weeks from Mono, the list goes on and on. I have to say that I wouldn’t trade last year for anything. I am so thankful for everyone and everything in my life and can’t wait to see what this year has to bring!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
I am the first one in line to always wear the same neutral colors all the time…black…white…brown…gray…and sometimes pink. Its funny those colors seem to be the only colors I wear. This summer I decided to step out of my comfort zone a bit and try and add some more color to my wardrobe. Trust me it hasn’t been easy! I have discovered that adding a small pop of color to any outfit has been the answer for me. Whether it might be…a different colored pant, shirt, jacket, or accessories…it really seems to do the trick. I love how summery your outfit becomes…without going too crazy with color.
What is your favorite way to add a pop of color to your outfit?
I love a good lip balm…to me its just a must have makeup item to have with you at all times. I have been a huge fan of La Mer’s balm for many many years but didn’t like the packaging as you always had to stick your finger in the balm to apply it. Not the most clean application when on the go. A few months back I was near a Chanel counter and stopped by to check out the Rouge Coco Baume. The Sales Associate was raving about it and said it was very comparable to the La Mer balm. I decided to pick it up and give it a shot. I absolutely adore this coco baume and use it everyday. I do think its wonderful and worth the price tag of $36…but I do not think its better than La Mer. However I will say that this is works amazingly well under and Chanel Lipstick and keeps your lips hydrated and moisturized for hours on end. If you are in the market for a great balm on the go…I highly suggest you give this one a chance!
Have you tried Chanel Rouge Coco Baume?
