“On our fabulous cruise to Spain we toured the beautiful island of Palma De Mallorca where the world-famous Majorica pearls are made. Until I got there I didn’t know that they were man-made. Our tour began at the landmark Gothic catherdral, known as “La Seu” which contains four naves and an enormous rose window. The altar was designed by Spanish architect, Anton Gaudi like the ones in Barcelona. We also drove to Bellver Castle constructed in the early 1300’s. It is the only Gothic castle in Europe with a double gallery of arches inside the central patio. It was very beautiful. Other places to visit were the famous Drach caves and Valldemosa.”
