Welcome back for another special post by my mom Margie Dingfelder. This week we are off to Tahoe. Enjoy!
“Visiting Lake Tahoe in the summer is a real treat. We had the pleasure of visiting friends who have a cabin right on the lake in South Shore. We were there over the fourth of July and although it was very crowded watching fireworks from three locations over the lake was well worth it. This trip, we went to a place that was unknown to us. It is Valhalla in South Lake Tahoe. Have you ever heard of it? There are lovely trails that wind around peaceful little gardens and historical homes of the rich and famous. The historic lakefront grounds are often used for weddings. It is the home of the annual Renaissance Faire the first two weekends of June. After that the Valhalla Art, Music and Theater Festival runs from late June through August. Next time you are up there, check it out. Also check out the beaches, cruises on the lake to Emerald Bay, the casinos entertainment and Heavenly Valley as well as Squaw Valley.
Share your favorite places in Lake Tahoe.”
